Faithful Fridays~Don't Be Conformed
Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2
It is very easy to love the evil or to-be-cool things in this world. Like clothes, songs, shows, outings, etc., but we as Christians are not supposed to like or do those things as this verse is talking about. The word conform means to be similar or the same as something, and to behave in a way that is accepted by most people. The verse is telling us not to behave like the world, not to fit in this world. Imagine a bunch of fish swimming together going the easy way down stream and you are a Christian in amongst them. You should turn around and swim the opposite way going up stream.
But you can't do it alone. When you are not sure if something is right or wrong ask God to help you figure it out. Or look in His word and it could have the answer in it too!
God bless you guys!

Faithful Fridays~Living Sacrifice
Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Romans 12:1
Did you know that appeal means beg? So what this verse is telling us is that we must keep our bodies clean for God, give our bodies to Him, which is the most practical way to worship him. God owns our bodies, once you become a christian He lives in us and He doesn't want bad stuff going into Him. What I mean is that He doesn't want you listening to something you shouldn't listen too, watching something you shouldn't watch, eating or drinking something you shouldn't, walking to places you shouldn't be going, using your hands for something you shouldn't do and so on. We are to be a living sacrifice for God. We mostly hear about sacrifices in the Old Testament. Sacrifices were killing animals to cover sins until Jesus came to save us, take away all of our sins.
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
Hebrews 10:4
If Jesus can sacrifice Himself for us we should try harder to be a living sacrifice for Him.
O be careful little eyes what you see
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little ears what you hear
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little ears what you hear
O be careful little hands what you do
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little hands what you do
O be careful little feet where you go
O be careful little feet where you goThere's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little feet where you go
O be careful little mouth what you say
O be careful little mouth what you sayThere's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little mouth what you say
This song most people think is for little kids but it is so important to remember it for our everyday life's to do what pleases and glorifies God.
God bless you,

Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
All Christians have Spiritual Gifts given to them by God. But so many Christians don't know what their gift is, or if they do know what it is, some don't use it, or they may know what it is and use it in the wrong way. We all should strive to know our Spiritual Gift and to use it correctly. Here are some ways to help us.- If you don't you what it is.
- If you know what it is, but don't want to use it
- If you know what it is and using it, but in the wrong way
Spiritual Gifts are straight from God and He wants you to know what it is, use it, and use it in the right way.

Thanksgiving
So today is the Canadian Thanksgiving. On January 31, 1957 the Parliament of Canada proclaimed that...
"A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest which with Canada has been blessed - to be observed on the 2nd Monday of October."
It is annoying when people say they are thankful for stuff but not who they are thankful too. I mean you can't just say thank you to no one because it just doesn't make any sense. So instead of saying I am thankful for try saying I am thankful to God for because then God gets the glory and it makes much more sense to be thankful to someone.
I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
Psalm 9:1
The verse is saying that we are to tell all about what God has done for us and given us.
Here is a list of what I am thankful to God for.

Faithful Fridays~Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
Last night at youth we learnt about loving others as yourself. The main verse we looked at was...
"....You shall love your neighbour as yourself.
Matthew 22:39
I have always wondered what it meant by saying "as yourself". Because I don't love myself, so I thought until last night at youth where I learnt what it means to love yourself. It means to care for yourself. Like when you get money who is the first person you think of spending it on? Who dresses you? Who does your hair or brushes your teeth? Who gets the most effort in your day? I bet most of them are ourselves. You don't have to care for other people like the questions above, but put the same amount of time and effort into others as you do for yourself.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
Philippians 2:3-4
So it is saying sacrifice what you want to do or what you are doing to make others happy. Don't always think about yourself.

Fall Time
My mom LOVES to decorate for every season and most holidays. And because fall is almost over in Alberta I thought I should show you guys what our house looks like all decorated up for fall.
Our dining room
Above the living room window. My favourite part of the fall decorations is the crows, they look so real.
Under the window in the living room.
Next to the same living room window as in last two pictures. My mom loves using the McDonald's little fall dolls for decoration.
Above the office desk.
In the dining room. My mom just bought this from her favourite store. Isn't it so pretty?
The dining room.
That was all of our fall decorations. Christmas decorations will be coming anytime soon now that it is almost November 1st.
God bless you,

Faithful Fridays~Love God With Everything
Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
Last night at youth we learnt about loving God with everything you got. The verse we were looking at was...
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
Mark 12:30
We learnt about each one (heart, soul, mind, and strength) and what it means.
- Heart
It means to show/prove your love for God and loving Him above EVERYTHING else. It means that you can't just say you love Him and then not read your Bible and pray but go to some party doing stuff that is just plain wrong. But you have to show that you love Him by the way you act and speak and do stuff pleasing to Him.
Therefore you shall love the Lord your God, and keep His charge, His statutes, His judgments, and His commandments always.
Deuteronomy 11:1
- Soul
It means to show love with emotion. You know how some people just start crying when singing a worship song or lifting their hands, that is showing you love God with emotion. But you don't have to do it that way because there is other ways to do it.
My soul longs, yes, even faints
For the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
For the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Psalm 84:2
- Mind
It means you have to think about God and learn about Him. You have to believe everything He says. Because if you think and learn about things not pleasing to Him then how can you learn about God and see how awesome He is.
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Isaiah 26:3
- Strength
It means to use physical energy to show that you love God. Showing Him that you will do anything even if it hurts you to show that you love Him.
I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD;
I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
Psalm 71:16
Jesus went all in for us by dying on the cross so that we can go to Heaven. He showed more love than possible. So we should try more to go all in for Him and show Him that we love Him.
God bless you,

Faithful Fridays~Obedience
Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
Last night at youth, the youth pastor was talking about how to obey God.
You have commanded your precepts
to be kept diligently.
Psalm 119:4
The word precept means rule - instruction - regulation - law - lesson and the word diligently means constantly. So the verse means God has commanded His rules and we are to keep them all the time. We are also suppose to obey Him....
- Not Partially, But Fully
- Not Doubtfully, But Confidently
- Not Reluctantly, But Readily
- Not Carelessly, But Carefully
- Not Coldly, But Earnestly
- Not Sporadically, But Regularly
I know that no one can obey God like this but we have to strive to obey God everyday just like the things above.

Wacky Wednesdays~Things You Find In Your Fridge

The other morning I was going into are fridge to get butter for my toast. Well I opened it and reached for the butter when I saw a TV controler in there with peanut butter on it! I didn't know where it came from at first but then I remembered that Ben accidently dropped his toast on it the night before and we put it in the fridge so that the peanut butter would get hard so that we could just peel it off. But I was tired so I didn't remember right then.

Yadkin
Now this was a long time ago but it is still very interesting. On July 15 in the morning I just woke and I was just going to start getting dressed when it sounded like wind was blowing on my door. But then I heard someone say Becky. I was like what on earth then I said "What is it" then I heard my dad say "There is a baby donkey"! I ran out of there like a lightning bolt I SO EXCITED! It was raining all night and still raining that morning so the baby was all wet. When I got out there, there he was with his tongue sticking out I thought but then I dad said something was wrong with his lip.
After a while of trying to figure it out what was wrong with his mouth my mom e-mailed that picture above to our friend that has lots of horses to see if she knew. She thought it might have been a PROLAPSED lip. Meaning, some kind of trauma during birth caused the lip to swell up. Then her and her husband came that evening to see if she was right and sure enough she was. She had seen this when cows give birth and prolapse. She had also seen an old farmer treat this condition by rubbing the prolapsed area with sugar to get the swelling down, then putting the body back in the right places.
So we got her some sugar and warm water (The water was needed because his lip was dry) and she rubbed it on and put his lip back into place and it was almost all healed. His swelling still needed to go down a little more but it would happen soon enough.
In this picture you can see that it is still kind of swelled but....
His lip is fine now!
Our donkay Molly who had him was pregnant with him for 13 1/2 mounths! We knew she was pregnant but we weren't sure when she was going to have the baby, so we were very happy she finally had him!
It took a long time to name him but my brothers and me decided to name him Yadkin after the river in North Carolina that Daniel Boone lived near for a little while.
Yadkin was our first just gray donkey. All of the others were different colours so it was cool to finally have a just gray baby donkey! I am trying to teach him tricks but I don't think he knows any yet.
