I Didn't See That Coming!

Last Thursday, Jacob broke his elbow! Him and Ben were fighting when all of a sudden Jacob fell on our laminate floor, face down, and somehow broke it. I thought maybe it was really hurt so he couldn't move it for a while but then it would start felling better so he could start moving it again. But when my mom phoned from the hospital and said it was a broken elbow I was shocked!
He has a temporary binding until tomorrow to let the swelling come down then he will need a cast for 4 weeks. He is excited for the cast because we get to draw on it just like on the one episode of  "Franklin".

Here is Jacob waiting at the hospital. They had to cut of his shirt so he had to wear my mom's coat. My mom was digging through her purse to find something to occupie him with when she found a balloon and a mechanical Yahtzee game.

And here is Jacob at home with the binding

The day after he broke his elbow he went outside and was already running and jumping. So I am sure he will get through this just fine.

My Birthday

2 weeks and 4 day ago, (I know I am really late!) was my 13th birthday (so the 25th of March). The Friday before I had a party. Six girls came to it. My pen-pal who I met was suppose to come but the day before was a 100 car pile up the way she was coming so she didn't come.
My mom found 2 Minute to Win it games to play that included chop sticks. The first one was we had to use chop sticks to stack 3 chap sticks on top of each other. That was very hard! The second game was we had to stack 6 pop cans on top of each other in a pyramid shape using a chop stick in our mouth. That one was quite easier.
For supper we had Rice Bowls, Spring Rolls and Asian Noodle Cole Slaw.

All of us at the table!

The toppings for the rice bowls were:
Teriaki chicken
Bean sprouts
Green onion
Carrots
Sesame seeds
Soy sauce
Extra teriaki sauce

All of the girls LOVED it!!! Thank you mom for making it! It was really good.

After supper we visited for a little bit then we had cake.

Me with my cake

Then of course afterwards was present time. I got so many awesome presents! Thank you to all who gave me them!!!
Then we watched a movie called Summer Magic. It was done by Walt Disney in 1963. It is a really good movie!
That was my "long ago" birthday party!!! We all had a great time!

Faithful Fridays~Should've Been Me

Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
Today I would like to share a song called Should've Been Me by Citizen Way.
It is talking about how it should have been us that were beat up and nailed to a cross to die because of our sins. But Jesus that had no sin did that for us and put all the sin on himself so that we can have everlasting life because He loves us so much.
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:21
The way we can be free of our sins and have everlasting life in Heaven is if we ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and become a part of our life.
