Faithful Fridays~Don't Be Conformed
Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2
It is very easy to love the evil or to-be-cool things in this world. Like clothes, songs, shows, outings, etc., but we as Christians are not supposed to like or do those things as this verse is talking about. The word conform means to be similar or the same as something, and to behave in a way that is accepted by most people. The verse is telling us not to behave like the world, not to fit in this world. Imagine a bunch of fish swimming together going the easy way down stream and you are a Christian in amongst them. You should turn around and swim the opposite way going up stream.
But you can't do it alone. When you are not sure if something is right or wrong ask God to help you figure it out. Or look in His word and it could have the answer in it too!
God bless you guys!

Faithful Fridays~Living Sacrifice
Faithful Fridays is a day where christians can share there faith, a song, a bible verse, a bible study that you are working through or anything that God has put on your heart to share. You can go to Joy's blog Doodle Bug to get the rules and picture.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Romans 12:1
Did you know that appeal means beg? So what this verse is telling us is that we must keep our bodies clean for God, give our bodies to Him, which is the most practical way to worship him. God owns our bodies, once you become a christian He lives in us and He doesn't want bad stuff going into Him. What I mean is that He doesn't want you listening to something you shouldn't listen too, watching something you shouldn't watch, eating or drinking something you shouldn't, walking to places you shouldn't be going, using your hands for something you shouldn't do and so on. We are to be a living sacrifice for God. We mostly hear about sacrifices in the Old Testament. Sacrifices were killing animals to cover sins until Jesus came to save us, take away all of our sins.
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
Hebrews 10:4
If Jesus can sacrifice Himself for us we should try harder to be a living sacrifice for Him.
O be careful little eyes what you see
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little ears what you hear
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little ears what you hear
O be careful little hands what you do
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little hands what you do
O be careful little feet where you go
O be careful little feet where you goThere's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little feet where you go
O be careful little mouth what you say
O be careful little mouth what you sayThere's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little mouth what you say
This song most people think is for little kids but it is so important to remember it for our everyday life's to do what pleases and glorifies God.
God bless you,
