Meeting My Pen-Pal

Last Thursday Jacob had a dentist appointment. And I have a pen-pal that lives right near the dentist. So I wrote her telling her heads up because I might be coming and that I would phone her a couple days before then to make sure it was alright and to get directions. She wasn't busy that day so I got to go to her house well Jacob was at the dentist. We had a REALLY great time! It was my first time to meet one of my pen-pals (I have like 8 pen-pals).

Here is a picture of us together. Sorry my hair is all messy, my mom didn't say anything when she took the picture so I thought I must look fine.
God bless,
Rebekah

Violin Concert

Yesterday Jacob and I had a violin concert. I was SO NERVOUS, so was Jacob! But when you are playing with other people it makes you feel better because if you mess up no one will notice, which I did quite a bit.

Jacob introducing himself and me finding my place.

Jacob didn't want to leave our teacher! I wish I could have done that but it might have looked weird.

Here is the video link of us playing Ladybug Reel

Choir

Last weekend I was in the Central Alberta Homeschool Choir directed by Debbie Zepick. There were 4 performances in 3 days. We were raising for a boys orphanage in Mwanza, Tanzania. They were able to buy 6 acres of land last year and should be able to build a orphanage this year. The couple in charge of it and the boys have been living in a rented house. If you would like to learn more about Project Mwanza click here.
We have been practicing since the beginning of September once a week for 2 hours. There were 120 kids and we were accompanied with a orchestra with 30 people.
The song I would like to share is called Angels Are Making Their Rounds (one of my favourites).

I'm Back!

As you know we were at family camp this weekend and we just got back today. It was tons of fun!!! There was canoes, paddle boats and kayaks to go boating in and swimming of course in the lake. We got to sleep in a cabin. Here are some pictures from there.
The cabin that we were sleeping in was right next to the lake, bathrooms and kitchen.

Here is my dad and Ben going on one of the paddle boats.

And here is my dad and I going paddle boating trying to help Jacob get back to shore.

There was mini golf and the boys loved it!

There were a bunch of minnows in the lake

Jacob found a dead one

Garage Sale And Spring Social

2 days ago was our towns big garage sale at the Legion. My mom got a bunch of stuff there, because it was so cheap. We thought it started at 8:00 because it's sign said so, but it actually started at 8:30 just like the newspaper said. So we woke up at 7:00 when we could have woke up at 7:30. We are not much of morning people.
Our school board has spring socials ever year. So we went to one in Olds yesterday. It was okay. There was really good food there. The drive down there was horrible! It rained really hard almost the whole way. But when we were coming back home there was a big bright rainbow. I wish I had my camera to take a picture of it.
