TobyMac Concert in Edmonton

Last Friday night I went to the TobyMac concert with my youth pastor, his wife and three other kids. You see the youth pastor bought 4 tickets to the concert and he did a contest to earn points for us to win a ticket. The stuff we earned points on were going to church, going to youth, going to Sunday School, memorising bible verses, and there was a special assignment each week. I got first place! I was so excited to go, not for TobyMac, but for Jamie Grace! Because I didn't really love to many TobyMac songs but I love Jamie Grace's songs. It sounds kind of funny that I just went for the opening act but oh well.
Before we went to the concert they took us all out to Chilli's. It was SO GOOD! I had the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Quesadilla. I usually have caesar salad with chicken when I go to restaurants but I felt like having something different that night and I love quesadillas.
Another girl that went to the concert and me at Chilli's

Three of us waiting. There was another boy but he was sitting at the end. I am so bad at blinking. As soon as the flash turns on I blink, which I am doing in this picture.
The concert was AMAZING!!! It was very bright and loud because that is what all TobyMac concerts are like. But it was still really good. I had so much fun.

All of us (except the youth pastor's wife) after the concert.

God bless you,

Paul Brandt Concert!

I know when you read the title you were like "Who is Paul Brandt?". Well he is a christian country singer from here in Alberta. And he has won the most country awards in history.
Well my friend Natasha ask me if I would like to go to the Paul Brandt concert with her mom and her and I said sure. So Thursday (25) night we went to the concert and it was GREAT! Natasha and I stood in front of the stage because a bunch of other people were and those were the best "seats" ever! Then afterwards you could go and meet him. So we stood in line for an hour just to get a signature and picture with him! I got him to sign my forehead and my ticket! He was so surprised when I said my forehead!
Here are the pictures!

Telus World Of Science

Sorry I have not posted for a long time! We were busying at VBS last week. This year was my first year being a crew helper! I had an awesome time.
Yesterday we went to Telus World Of Science because our news on TV had this colour the weather contest and it was for a free family pass to TWOS. My brothers and I entered and we all got one. Here are the pictures of us there.
Me seeing how fast my heart beats

Me and Jacob in the airplane in the play center

See that plastic ball with the green ball? Well that is water!

Me as an astronaut

Guess what that is? It is a cow tongue!!! They had other tongues but the picture I took of them went blurry for some reason. Oh, and the small jar next to it is a dog tongue.

That night we went to the park. Well really we went to our towns new water park but it was broken! But at least there was a park right next to it.

Then after the park we went to McDonald's for a ice cream cone because at the County Fair they had different kinds of contest and everyone wins a free ice cream cone even if they don't win.
That was our Sunday.

County Fair 2012

Our town had it's county fair yesterday. It was tons of fun! My mom, my brothers and me all entered in stuff. I entered about 23 things and won 95$ in prize money! I don't have very many pictures of what I entered but here is some pictures of some of it. I will do another post for the other stuff I didn't show now.
I won first place on my vanilla chocolate cookies in both categories. One was a contest for the best Robin Hood flour snack and first place is 15$ (normal first place here is 5$) and I won it!

Here are the vegetables that I put in. The ribbons on the table are for my large zucchini (2nd), small zucchini (1st) and for my wild fruit collection (1st).
Here is some the stuff we got to do.
My brothers made "hobby" horses (I am not sure what you call these horses but that is what the fair called them) to race in the hobby horse race. There is Jacob's horse. We didn't get any pictures of the race sadly.

They always have a dog agility contest at our fair and they always ask the kids to do barrel racing with the dog. They don't ride the dog but the kids have to run around the barrels. My brothers both went to do it. Sadly my mom didn't take any pictures of them racing again.

They had a little rodeo stuff too. I think this was steer sorting.

More sorting.

And that was our day at our town 2012 county fair.

Car Races

Last night we went to the "Edmonton" Race Way in Wetaskawin. Isn't that funny, the Edmonton race way in Wetaskawin? But anyway. When we got there, there was a big storm coming.

We couldn't tell if it was going to hit there or not. Well, it did! It lasted around 15 to 30 minutes. There was only a little place for cover so we all huddle in there.
Here is a picture of everyone under cover. I felt like I was on the Titanic.
After the rain stopped it took hour for the races to start. It was suppose to start at 5:30 but it started at 7:30! We still had fun. Our friends came too so we sat with them.
Here is a picture of all us kids sitting together.
Here is a picture of some cars racing.

Rodeo Time!

Yesterday we went to cowboy church (aka stampede church). They had free pancake breakfast. After we were done eating and just getting up to go to church this man comes up to me and asked if I had rodeo tickets. (It is stampede time in our town) I said no and then he gave me 2 tickets. After talking some about we decided that my mom and I would go. My friend Natasha and her family were going to the rodeo too that afternoon. So Natasha and me sat in the seats that man gave us and my mom sat with her family. It was AWESOME! We got really good seats. Here are some pictures of the rodeo.

The bucking bronco
This man had a really well trained horse. He would say something and the horse would do it. Like in this picture. The man said to the horse to jump in the back of the truck well it is moving. Well the horse did as it was told.

And here he is after he jumped in the truck.

They had 3 kids on a team and they would have to have this minature horse, 2 of them would hold on to the rope and the other 1 would try to get on the horse. It was really cute!
They also had mounted shooters competition there too. It was neat. They had to ride a horse and shoot ballons on a stick.

Calf roping

And then that night they had awesome fireworks because it was Canada Day.

Garage Sale And Spring Social

2 days ago was our towns big garage sale at the Legion. My mom got a bunch of stuff there, because it was so cheap. We thought it started at 8:00 because it's sign said so, but it actually started at 8:30 just like the newspaper said. So we woke up at 7:00 when we could have woke up at 7:30. We are not much of morning people.
Our school board has spring socials ever year. So we went to one in Olds yesterday. It was okay. There was really good food there. The drive down there was horrible! It rained really hard almost the whole way. But when we were coming back home there was a big bright rainbow. I wish I had my camera to take a picture of it.

Hot Spring Days

It was so hot yesterday!!!  And it is hot today to. It is plus 23. That's pretty good for Alberta.
So we had a fire and roasted hot dogs.

Then our friends invited us over for a marshmallow roast.

They had a moose on there yard. That's its pooh. To me it looks way to small for a moose.

Concert At The Old Folks Home

Me, my mom and my brother Ben just came back from a volunteer appreciation concert and desert night at the old folks home. They served ice cream and a Filipinpo choir performed. I enjoyed it.
We volunteer by serving refreshments when they need help. (That's me watching a solo singer in the picture.)
